Jesus Lespwar at Résidence Béthel: an evangelistic week with a difference!

adminNews

While the Résidence Béthel in Petite Rivière hosted 2 days of evangelism on 6 and 7 June, the programme actually began a week earlier.

For once, the Christians got together on the previous Saturday to go door-to-door in the surrounding area. This enabled them to meet as many people as possible. The relaxed atmosphere of the Saturday afternoon was conducive to exchanges and the many contacts were very positive. The door-to-door canvassing on the following Wednesday served only to cover the few streets that had not been canvassed on the Saturday.

For the first meeting, on Friday evening, around fifteen people from the surrounding area attended. Brother Ruben Ramasawmy shared a message of hope about the power of Jesus to heal and restore us. After the sermon, the theatre team presented a sketch illustrating that only Jesus can truly change our hearts. Following this, 9 people came forward to give their lives to Jesus.

On Saturday afternoon, 14 children took part in a specially organised programme with games, activities and a simple message about salvation.
During this time, there was time for socialising with the young people, while having fun playing football and basketball.
In the evening, brother Jocelyn Neeladoo spoke about what Jesus does in the lives of those who welcome him, giving a poignant testimony of his own experience.

These two days are just the beginning, and the church plans to continue offering activities for the children twice a month.
