On Saturday, 7th March, three special workshops were held for mothers of young children in the Curepipe, Trianon, and Mahébourg churches. It was a precious time of reflection, with testimonies, practical advice, and spiritual encouragement.
In today’s world, it is difficult to manage all the various responsibilities a mother must undertake. As the Bible says in Titus 2:3–5, “older women are called to teach the younger ones to love their husbands and their children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be diligent at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that the word of God may not be blasphemed.”
One of the mothers said, "We were reminded that children are a gift from the Lord, entrusted to us, and that as mothers, we are called to cultivate an atmosphere of love, patience, and faith in our homes. Motherhood calls us to remain teachable, anchored in the Word of God, and dependent on His grace each day. There was also strong encouragement to strengthen our marriages and family life, learning to support one another, to lead by example, and to raise our children in simplicity and truth, away from the pressures of this world."
It was a blessed time for all, and the mothers left with a desire to continue, even asking for more sessions to explore additional topics and have more questions answered.
