From August 8 to 11, teenagers aged 11 to 14 from every local church on the island converged to Belle Mare for their annual camp.
As soon as they arrived, and after a quick lunch, the teens were divided into 14 teams before working to create the identity of each team in a cheerful mess.
The theme of this year's teens camp was "Follow me!" It's the time for young people to turn their backs on the darkness of the world and walk in the light. Pastors Philippe De Beer, Jocelyn Neeladoo and Bernard Banor, specially present, each shared in this direction at the meetings. The teenagers were encouraged to separate themselves from the influences of the world, especially in terms of their attitudes, behaviour and relationships with their parents and peers.
As always, a wide range of games, activities and workshops related to the theme allowed all the teenagers to have fun, learn, discover and exert themselves, all as part of a team and in good spirits.
To support, encourage and look after these 190 teenagers, almost 150 supervisors came along, some of them taking special days off. It was also thanks to them that the camp was a success, and above all a blessed moment for all the teenagers, who were able to enjoy themselves to the full.
Many of the teenagers themselves admitted that 4 days was too short, and they can't wait for the next camp.
