Jésus Lespwar Curepipe: Jesus Always Has the Last Word…

adminNews

After the successful evangelistic campaign in May, which saw the conversion of around thirty people, the pastors felt it was right to make every effort to give the people of Curepipe another opportunity to hear the Word of God and the Good News of Jesus.

A new weekend of evangelism, ‘Jésus Lespwar’, was therefore scheduled for 22, 23, and 24 November, once again held at the emblematic Hôtel de Ville in the City of Light.

Despite forecasts of a cyclone or at least a tropical storm hitting the island at the same time, Christians rallied together for three days of door-to-door outreach, inviting people to come and hear about Jesus.

From the steps of the Town Hall, the event featured songs and sketches performed before a growing crowd of Christians, passers-by, and invited guests, all enjoying the warm and family-friendly atmosphere. The program was punctuated by moving testimonies from pastors who shared how the Lord had saved them from their past lives and performed miracles within their families.

Friday evening concluded with a brief message from Pastor Ruben Ramsawmy, encouraging those who felt touched to step forward and give their lives to Christ. Around ten people responded to the call.

On Saturday afternoon, a large group of Christians gathered in the town center to distribute flyers and invite as many people as possible to the evening meeting.

At 5 p.m., the worship and drama teams performed on the terrace of the Hôtel de Ville, presenting a short show while waiting for the main meeting to begin. Pastor Miki Hardy then delivered a message based on the healing of the lame man and Peter's sermon in Acts 3. He emphasized the power of Jesus to heal, save, and set people free, touching the hearts of a dozen newcomers and inspiring many to have faith for healing.

On Sunday evening, following powerful testimonies, Pastor Miki Hardy shared the story of Cornelius from Acts 10, illustrating faith in Jesus that leads to salvation and healing. Thirteen individuals responded in faith, seeking salvation and restoration through the Lord Jesus Christ.

This weekend of evangelism, which led to over 30 new conversions and deeply impacted many lives, once again highlighted the world’s need for Jesus—the only solution for a lost world.
