CTMI 2024 International Conference: the Church today and tomorrow

adminNews

Together Again as One Family!

The twenty-third CTMI International Conference, held 23 - 28 October 2024 at the Trianon Convention Centre in Mauritius, was a cherished time of meeting with brothers and sisters and spending time in the presence of God once again.

It was a joy for the people of Mauritius to welcome 750 delegates from 40 countries in fraternity and unity. Every noon, many gathered at TCC for the conference lunches to share good food in fellowship. It was incredible to see people from so many different countries and backgrounds coming together in such a natural way.

Everyone carried great expectation in their hearts for what the Lord had in store for his Church.

On the Wednesday evening, Stephen Gachengo from Kenya officially launched the conference and encouraged everyone to have an open and yearning heart.

Celebrating God's Work around the Globe

Each evening through the reports of CTMI's hub leaders, we were able to see how the Gospel and the message of the cross continue to gain ground. It was very encouraging to hear all that the Lord is doing to restore his Church around the world. We look forward to all the doors that will open and the work the Lord will continue to do through his servants and each of us over the coming year!

The moments of praise and worship in the presence of God, surrounded by brothers and sisters from all over the world giving Him glory and honour, were very special. We were also blessed by various songs sung in French by groups from Réunion and France, in Swahili by a group from East Africa, and in Spanish by a group from Central America attending the conference for the first time. We had a wonderful time listening to them and joining them in praising the Lord. There are no language barriers in His presence!

A special live broadcast

On the Friday morning, a live broadcast of Malaïka with Mama Audrey, Mama Jeanine, Nadège, and Magali tackled two subjects: Managing Finances & Women's Freedom. With a Q&A session at the end, these two episodes generated a lot of discussion and debate, always concluded with insight and discernment according to the Word of God, thanks to the presence of a special guest, Pastor Miki Hardy. The Church Today and Tomorrow

The theme of the conference was ‘The Church Today and Tomorrow’. Pastor Miki Hardy covered a number of topics and shed a great deal of light on what the Church really is, what it is facing today, and what lies ahead for it in the times to come.

Pastor Miki closed the conference with a key verse for the whole Church: 1 Peter 5:8-11 :

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

Christians around the world need to hear the truth about the Church, and so we invite and encourage you to listen or re-listen to Pastor Miki's preaching at this conference. Reaching the Nations

With more than 2,500 people gathered in the auditorium each evening and hundreds of thousands following the conference online on the various networks and on radio and television, all the glory goes to God for everything that happened these five days, which will undoubtedly mark a turning point in the history of the Church of Jesus Christ.
