Jesus Lespwar in Curepipe: three days of hope and transformation

adminUncategorized

From 7 to 9 March, Curepipe town hall once again hosted three evangelistic evenings, bringing together a large audience to listen to testimonies and hear the Gospel message.

In the days leading up to the event, Christians travelled around the town handing out invitations, seizing every opportunity to share the Good News and the love of Jesus with local people.

On Friday evening, from 6pm, the Town Hall's veranda came alive with a concert of praise, followed by hard-hitting sketches that captured the audience's attention. The meeting continued indoors with a time of worship, before the congregation listened to the testimony of a brother on the transformation of his relationship thanks to the Gospel. Following Ruben Ramasawmy's sermon, twelve people chose to commit themselves to the Lord.

On Saturday afternoon, the participants went out to meet passers-by in the streets of Curepipe, warmly inviting them to attend the evening. The meeting that followed was a mix of songs, testimonies and sketches. One sister shared her struggle with anger and how she found peace. After Jocelyn Neeladoo's message, fourteen new people answered the call to salvation.

On Sunday evening, the event culminated in poignant testimonies, including that of a sister miraculously freed from depression and physical pain after years of suffering. Pastor Ruben Ramasawmy's final sermon led thirteen people to come forward in repentance and place their lives in the hands of Jesus.

As well as conversions, the evenings were marked by moments of intercession for the sick and those going through family trials.

The three days touched many lives, attracting visitors from different cities and other churches. The work now continues to accompany and help each newcomer to grow in this new life.
