The restrictive health measures that were brought in by Covid-19 and that kept us away from church for months, were at last lifted on 1 July 2022.
In a speech given by the Prime Minister to the Mauritian population, he confirmed what everyone was expecting, that the time had come to end the restrictive health measures and the ban on gatherings.
Obviously, as a precautionary measure, since the virus is still around, it is advised to continue sanitizing and social distancing. Wearing a mask is not compulsory, but recommended in enclosed public areas and gatherings.
